    Who We Are

    Midnight Merchant is an Australian-owned and operated online marketplace that connects trading card game (TCG) collectors across Australia. Founded in August 2022, we provide a platform where collectors can buy and sell trading cards directly with one another.

    We support all major TCG brands including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Digimon, Star Wars Unlimited, and many more.

    How Our Marketplace Works

    Midnight Merchant operates as a Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C) marketplace. This means we connect individual buyers and sellers — we do not sell products ourselves.

    • Sellers are independent individuals who list their own trading cards on our platform. Each seller manages their own inventory, pricing, and shipping.
    • Buyers browse listings from multiple sellers and purchase directly from them through our secure checkout.

    Midnight Merchant provides the platform, tools, and pricing data to facilitate these transactions. We do not hold inventory, package items, or ship products.

    All payments are processed securely through PayPal Goods & Services, providing protection for both buyers and sellers.

    What You Can Buy and Sell

    Our marketplace currently supports single trading cards, including:

    • Ungraded cards — raw cards in various conditions
    • Graded cards — professionally graded cards from services like PSA, CGC, BGS, and others
    Becoming a Seller

    Anyone with a PayPal account (Personal or Business) can become a seller on Midnight Merchant. During the seller onboarding process, you'll connect your PayPal account to receive payments directly from buyers. There are no upfront fees or subscriptions required to start selling.

    Buyer Protection

    Every purchase on Midnight Merchant is processed through PayPal Goods & Services. This provides buyers with PayPal's Purchase Protection, which covers eligible purchases if an item doesn't arrive or is significantly different from the listing description.

    Our Fees

    Listing items on Midnight Merchant is completely free. Fees only apply when your item sells:

    • Platform Fee: 7.5% of the item sale price (shipping costs are excluded from this fee)
    • PayPal Fee: 2.6% + $0.30 AUD on the total transaction amount (item price + shipping)
